I want this to be done the right way.
So, Alex(Imprezer), Nick, what are your plans for 2002?
I am thinking that KC would be ok for next year but I am going to say. Lets have it in the Chicago area, since that they just got a new 4 wheel dynos in that area and it's a central location.
What do you I-cluber's think?

The biggest problem with this country is that the most central locations are the most boring terrain you will ever see in your life. If you have ANY other routes in mind, NEVER drive through Iowa or the east 2/3 of Nebraska. I got eyes by a cop in Oaklahoma, Missouri... whew, I'm just glad I made it out of there... LOL.

All in all, I think St. Louis wouldn't be bad, KC wouldn't be horrible, Colorado would be sweet as hell, but that is an entire vacation to me rather then just a trip... I plan on dieing up in those mountains, absolutely beautiful there.

colorado because a picture of all the impreza's rs's l's etc would be sweet from atop pikes peak plus i couldnt make it to the last one. that sucked i wanted to go really bad tosee others cars and modifications.
Plus subysports is here among the other one( i wont say it because i dont want to hear ya bitchin) and we have cripple creek too. but my favorite idea is pikes peak with a caravan of subies. SWEET! oh and for those that dont know cripple creek has gambleing...

Colorado!! :D:D

IMNSHO, Colorado would be the best choice for all involved (not just us in Colorado). It is almost as centrally located as Kansas City, plus our friends from California and the NorthWest won't have to drive the extra several hundred miles.

We have the mountains, and plenty of curvy roads to drive. :) Take in a ballgame at Coors Field (or an autocross depending on when the meet happens). Maybe it could coincide with the FIA rally that is supposed to occur MAYBE next summer or the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

COLORADO!!

I am down for anywhere... You just have to set a date way in advance with a definite place. that is all I ask of you.

Although anywhere in the northeast would be great. we have alot of I-Clubers up in these parts.

How about the Northwest! We got the Ocean right next to huge mountains! What more could you ask for? Dirt, esses, beach runs, and some Forest Service Trails. Ohh yeah the North West would be the best. And of course I am not partial to the North West ;)

Chris

NORTH WEST!!!

Well my idea was to have it at a central location where we could have a drag day, a dyno day and a Auto-x or Rally-x.
Chicago is getting a 4wd dyno

mid west = too far for us nw'stners to go....

there's no way you're getting all of us knuckleheads together...

as the west coast/northwest is SUBIE FILLED...
anywhere over here would be good... CA, WA....
Colorado even ;)

at least all the western 1/2 could/would make it...

The northwest is SUBIE FILLED? Ha...if you include old ladies driving Outbacks, but I don't know how well they'll do in the Auto-x.

Picking a place is great and all but it does not matter where anyone wants it, as much as who is going to organize it. Pat went to a ton of work for the meet we had here in KC. He had to cordinate a ton of organizations, secure a field, get scca out there to help/sanction so on and so on. I helped a little with camping and hotels.

what we need is people willing to organize it in their area's. Pat; maybe you could give a run down of what you did and what you had to go through to make the KC meet happen. That way people know what they're in for. I would hate to see someone full of ambition and jump up and say, "Hey let me! Let me! "and then disapear.....we have already been through that, and it almost ruined the meet.

Colorado sounds pretty cool too I guess.

Chicago might be geographically close to a midpoint, but don't forget to take into account where the majority of the population lives.

EAST COAST!

Heh heh.

What do I care, anyhow. I wouldn't go unless it was in DC. ;)

Yes yes, everyone wants it in their own town because of xxxxxx reason, but if you're into the club, wouldn't you be willing to make the drive? I'd drive to KC, I'd even drive to Colorado.

But we are a pretty diverse club, spread out all over, though we're not all rich folk like some of the exotic car club guys (Vipers, Ferraris, Lambo's, etc) and not everyone is going to be able to afford to drop what they're doing for a week or more to make it to a huge meet.

There needs to be 3 meets. Split the country three ways. DC, KC, and LA for example.

No, we need to bring everyone to one place and have a I-club Chapter race, either a auto-x or rally-x to see who has the badass chapter

I'm not driving halfway across the continent to meet up with this bunch of wackos!
