not getting my oilchanged from the dealership will void the warranty?

i just installed a BOV and wasnt sure if that in and of itself void the mfg's warranty, so to be on the safe side i thought that maybe i should just get my oil changed anywhere, but wasnt sure if that would void it as well...

i just installed the BOV and would prefer avoid switching it out just for the oil change.... anythoughts?

The better business bureau would have a field day if getting your oil changed just anywhere voided your warranty.

The only way your warranty can be "voided" is for any failed parts that died BECAUSE OF A NON FACTORY PART/MOD that killed it.

Thus, a new stereo can't void the warranty of your trans when it blows up.

But, a BOV, single puck clutch, bigger turbo can all void the trans warranty since they raise the HP above stock limits or overstress the trans.

BOV does nothing power wise, or transmission wise. It does, however, cause car to run rich on shifts, potentially causing unburned fuel to burn up in the uppipe cat, which can then break up destroying your turbo...

It doesn't matter where you get your maintenance done. What does matter is that you use the recommended parts and fluids and keep good records so it can all be documented. You can have the dealer do it, go to an independent shop, or do it yourself.
