I had my friend post this question for me while I was standing on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. I just got the STI Ra gearset installed friday night, and the car go's!! I took off for a drive this morning and the car took off fine, when I got to the stop light the car was acting the like the clutch was slipping it would grab 'til I hit boost and then just slip all the way up to redline, I thought my clutch was shot, but I couldn't smell it.. I attempted to drive it back home, and on the way it just got worse it started not grabbing at all it would slip in every gear, if I rev'd hard and held it for a couple seconds it would grab and then go just fine, but if I stopped at a stoplight then I had to try rev'ing again.. I finally decided to pull over and look under the car, the passenger side cv joint was shreddy and there was gear oil all over the exhaust... I called around and the only place that have axels today is Napa (I believe) and they only have front axels. Are the axels different and how hard are the rear ones to change? when I get new axels will they come with cv joints? any help would be greatly appreciatted.
thanks,
Matt.
