I recently had my exedy twin installed in my 05 sti. The clutch grabs great and no slipping at all. My question is' When I push the clutch pedal down the clutch is very noise( kinda how a bad throw out bearing sounds) but louder. It more or less seems like a rattle coming from inside the tranny. Do others have the same problem with theres. Other than this it is great. Is this just the norm with twin plate clutches??? thanx

The twins do tend to be noisy. They "rattle".

Does the engine rev any quicker with this clutch and flywheel installed now ??

And is it still daily driveable ??

Cheers

benefit of a twin plate clutch vs. single?

2 x the friction material so can hold far more power. Also, alot easier to drive than the single disk with integrated flywheels (ie the Exedy Hyper Single)

The Exedy Twin has a built-in flywheel?

yep

Cusco too (same clutch as Exedy, different disk composition - carbon/metal mix vs Exedy which carbon/ceramic mix)
