I am thinking of using some Nology Silverstone sparkplugs and was wondering if anyone has used them?

1. What are you putting them into ?
2. Why are you going to stray from OEM ?.....
3. How did you find out about this brand ?

Gotta be careful with your plug applications. There is not alot of leeway that a plug maker can take in making sure the Subie specs are met.

Putting them into a 99 2.2L
Thought that they might be better
Found out through a friend and I have Nology plug wires.
As far as leeway is their any difference with a Subie and any other car or do are Subies a little finicky when it comes to Plugs

I'm not familiar with 2.2 NA applications....so someone else is going to have chime in. But yes...the boxxer motor can have different needs on plug specs. The distance the plug tip goes into the cylinder being the biggy. A manufacturer will sometime's have their plugs listed under OEM applications because maybe the thread, diameter and gap range are correct....but they will allow a shorter spec plug to be used. This may work...for awhile....but it won't run well down the road. This happened to me once with an NA forester.....and I was quite pissed to have done the work it takes to just get one plug out.....to find out that the auto parts joint gave me a plug that was shorter. They showed me the application chart from Champion.....that had it listed. But it sure as hell didn't match. :furious:

That's just my experience though.

I'd say screw anything that isn't specifically PN'd for your engine.
