I am having my tranny rebuilt with STi RA gears and was wondering if it is necessary to have the ECU reflashed (ECUTek) after the gear swap?
I'm going from a stock WRX gearset to STi RA for those who are wondering.

Nah, you don't need a reflash, because the ECU doesn't control the transmission. Your car will get quicker naturally :)

Changing the tranny has nothing to do with the way the motor makes power. Just how it transfers it.
