I was just wondering if I am having problems with knocking, what gear should I log the UTEC so I can get opinions from other members?? Also, no matter how I adjust the ABC from Utec, my boost levels stays the same even when I made adjustments to the boost level map. Can someone please help me??

Any suggestions as to how to get rid of the knock?

Yes, reduce your timing. It's also tough to say without seeing wideband A/F ratios, but obviously 20 degrees at 18psi, or 24 degrees at 15psi nearing redline is too much.

You're probably not making more boost because the turbo is tapped out. Stock TD04? I wouldn't expect to be able to get much more than 15psi at redline no matter how much you crank up the boost.

Should I just lower the timing at the knock interval or should I lower the boost throughout? It looks like that I did better from the second run than the first run, by looking at the logs. The second run, I lower the boost by 2 turns from the ABC.

I don't know enough about the TD04 on 2 liters to know how much boost they can run before they just heat up the air. 15psi seems like a lot to ask from it. But even if you drop it 2psi throughout, you'll probably still find you need to lower timing. 20-24 degrees is quite a bit. I'd back off the timing first, and maybe see what boost other folks are running from the stock turbo.

How much degress should I knocck off throught out? or just close to the redline

serendipity

Right now you have it dipping to 17 degrees at 3000 RPM, and then climbing back up to 24. Focusing on the high load zones, I would have it drop to 15 degrees by 3250 RPM, and slowly climb back up to 20 degrees by redline. In other words, you want smooth transitions, but you don't want to sacrifice power down low (in RPM and load) by knocking off timing everywhere. So take off 3-4 degrees, but make it nice and smooth.

See how that works. If it still knocks, take another degree off up top.

Your boost control numbers seem either really high or really low. Check to see which type of boost control you are using in the parameters. OLB is 0-100, and CLB is 0-500 for 2.5B.

I'm going to bet you have your boost set to OLB, because your boost is way too high for your setup.

p.s. I have the 2.5B manual if you would like an electronic copy of it.

Log using 4th because of its high load. If you use a lower gear you may get overboosting and knock in 4th or 5th.

Not necessarily. He said he's using the ABC - so his boost values may be relatively low for the amount of boost he's running.

My CLB values are 150 for 20psi or so with a serial MBC.
