Quick question, can a UTEC be reflashed to earlier software versions if desired with-out any ill effects?

Turboxs site states not to use 4.2 with automatics :( - I'm getting a used utec for a good price but we are unsure exactly which software version it is and I just wanted to confirm we would be able to kick it back a notch to 4.1 if needed.

I think you can use 4.2 with an automatic tranny, but you just can't use Open Loop Fueling (OLF). I could be mistaken though.

Yeh, just cause txs says not to use version 4.2 with automatic cars, that doesn't mean you can't. It would be the same thing as 4.1 as long as you're not using olf mode. I think they ment to say "don't use olf with automatics", course I could be wrong.
