I'm putting a subaru motor in a vanagon and understand that some of the turbo motors like wrx have a shorter oil pan than a normally aspirated 2.2L or 2.5L. I'm thinking of putting a 2.5L turbo motor in the van. Does anyone have any dimensions for how far pans for various motors extend below the block? Also any other overall engine dimension info would be greatly appreciated.

The WRX pan is actually a little bigger and might hang a little lower. It also has extra baffling so if you plan on running circut type events, get a wrx pan. Otherwise any RS or L pan will work fine for you.
