Hi there folks..

Have you been waiting for STI pink springs for too long or are you paying as much as 350.00 to 375.00 for them. If so you need to check out espelir ASD springs, the spring rates are nearly identical to the pinks, and they offer a slightly larger drop at 20mm front and 20mm rear.

If you are looking for a little more performance than the pinks check out the espelir GT spring which is 80-100 lbs/in stiffer than the pink in terms of spring rate. The GT is a great performance inspired spring that is not to hard on street, but will hold up on the track.

The Espelir Springs are only 200.00 shipped for your 02, 03, or 04 WRX.

Perrin Sway bar packages:

Perrin Rear Sway and Endlinks: 285.00 Shipped
Perrin STI Rear Sway and STI end links: 305.00 Shipped
Perrin Front sway and endlinks: 250.00 Shipped

Add a set of espelir springs to a perrin sway bar and endlinks for the World One Stage I suspension for only 185.00 more.

Thanks!

Dumb question here - but are the Perrin bars hollow?

STi-MAN

mine seems way to heavy to be hollow

Cone..

work on v7 take offs?

WorldOne
01-17-2005, 05:58 PM
On version 7 take offs you would need the 02-03 version of the spring, but yes they would work with no issues.

Thanks!

Anyone know the spring rates and drop for espelir GT springs?

ESG045A 04-UP Subaru WRX/Sti (GDB) GT

Drop Front-Rear:

Spring Rate Front-Rear

Translates to around 280 lb/in. front and 230 lb/in. rear. The quoted drop is relative to the WRX I believe, overall drop is slightly less with the STi since it is already around 12mm lower than a WRX. Good springs so far, especially if you aren't looking to drop your car too much.

ride smoother than v7 take offs?

With '05 STi struts, I believe the ride is much smoother than with my old V7 RA struts/Prodrive springs. Everyone that has ridden in my old car and in the new car comments positively about how much better the ride is. I'd even say its less bumpy than when my car was dead stock.

Yeah, I took a short drive in Markus's car on Saturday and it rode better than my WRX wagon with v7 STi wagon takeoffs on it.

Still looking for spring rates for the 02/03 GTs and ASDs.

Thanks

GTs are same as mine, they didn't change the rates in any of the literature.

Hmmmm...

I just checked Mackin Industries. They only list the ASD springs for the 02/03. Rates are 3.3kg/mm front and 2.6kg/mm rear. The 04s list the ASD with 4.5f and 3.5r and the GT at 5.0f and 4.1r.

Espelir's Website is a little different. They list by model. GDA shows two sets with the 3.3f/2.6r and 4.5f/3.5r. GDB shows three springs with 3.3f/2.6r, 4.5f/3.5r, and 4.5f/3.5r. The website doesn't translate, so I can't tell what the notes are.

It doesn't appear the the rates shown in this thread and on Mackin Industries website match what Espelir has published on their website.

If I could get something concrete on what springs are available and what the rates are for the 02/03 WRX, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure the demo springs I was looking at were for the '02 GT set, they were red, lacked the taper of the '04-'05, and had the 5.0/4.1 spring rate. That's odd that it isn't on the application chart  PM wrc51, I believe he has the springs.

I found another vendor that says the GTs don't exist for the 02/03.

I'm really looking for new springs, and the GTs sound great. Too bad World One won't respond to their own thread.

Did you even try to call or email them or are you just bumping this and hoping for the best?

Bumping and hoping for the best. I just wanted to get some information in this thread that may be helpful to other people. If World One isn't going to check or respond to their own thread, what's the point of allowing people to post in it?

I am looking for spings, but I'm not going to be changing my suspension until probably summer. This just seems like a good place to try to get some answers. If they can't or don't want to offer support or answer questions in their own advertisement thread, that's their problem. I was simply posting the information I had gathered trying to inform other people.

I apologize for trying to be helpful.

Hey Hey,

I apologize for misssing this thread, it certainly wasn't on purpose. I will do all that I can to help you and I will alway respond immediately to any emails that anyone sends in to info@worldoneperformance.

Strohk, I appreciate you trying to be helpful and the only reason why this thread was no longer being watched by me personally is because it was actually created a long time ago, dropped of completely and then was brought back to life recently. During the drop off I removed it from my watch list.

I assure you it has now been added and will be propperly attended to.

You are absolutely correct that the GT Spring is only for the 04 model year.

Hmmmm...

The information that is shown on the mackin website is 100% correct for the US market. The ASD spring is the one that is in the US for the USDM 02-03 model year, if you have any specific questions about that partcular spring or if there is anything else that I can do please let me know.

Cheers,

W1

Ok, thanks for the info. Sorry, didn't realize it was a couple weeks old. I understand why it wasn't being watched.

You might want to update your website. You list the GT as available for the 02/03, which it seems it is not. Looks like us 02/03 guys keep getting gipped on the decent spring rates.

I wasn't trying to be or seem smarmy, I appreciate you doing this leg work on the spring rates. It's just that the bump and pray method doesn't really work well with busy vendors.
I guess it wasn't the '02 springs I was eyeballing after all:confused: I used to pay close attention to stuff like that since I owned a bugeye too. Oh well, looks like i was mistaken. Carry on.
