Just as the title says, is it safe to do so? The reason i'm asking is because i get 01 knock counts in vacuum mostly around 2000 rpms. This happens a lot and i get 01 knock counts in other parts of the rpm band (below 3500 rpm) just driving normally, all in "negative" psi regions. What should i turn the knock sensitivity down to? I hate my CEL going off when im going from 35 to 40 in 5 seconds...

I'd bet on a coil pack bein fried from runnin a wide gap, course I'm probably wrong.

As you probably know from all my other threads, i regapped my plugs. They were initially at .04 when i took them out, put them to .027 now. How do i test for that though? might as well, i'm gonna be in there anyways doing the compression test...

Really, I don't even know that having a wide gap would cause any damage to a coil. I just figured it was logical. If you always have the knock problem on the same cylinder, switching the coil pack on that cylinder with a different one would be a good test. If the problem follows the coil pack, you have your culprit.
