Looking for updates on guys who spray.
Specs on the car, Technicals on the n2o setup and how long you have been running it. Times and HP/TQ numbers would be nice but not need.

Looking to build a Direct Port n2o system for my v7 converted ride. I much rather get a big turbo and screw the vf30, but part of me knows that I shouldn't be trusted with a 1820, FPgreen, Superzilla... :p

This is what I plan on doing to mine until I get a bigger turbo right now I have a vf34, but im not making the v7 swap until march, hopefully cobb will have released there tuner software by then. I am not sure if I will go direct port or not yet. The motor should be more than ok with a small but healthy dose of nitrous, im planning on spraying a 75 shot. Let me know how your goes since you will probably be up and going before me.

Should be spraying by the end of the month.

Believe he means EJ207.Personaly i dont like N20 at all.i believe you have more possibilities to blow up your engine than any other Big Turbo.

Get a bigger(NOT huge) turbo and flush the giggle gas idea....and have a long and happy 207 life.

thats very silly. nitrous can be just as safe as turbo or supercharger. it's all about tuning.

nick, azscoobie (clark turner) has probably the most experience of the folks i've seen on this board doing as you propose.

I have been using Nitrous on my WRX for about 2 years now. On the stock motor, RA spec C 2.0 and now my 2.5 with spec c heads. I use the NOS brand import kit which is a wet system.

I run 37/22 jets for a 50 shot. That will remove about 1 full second from the 1/4 mile time if you flip it on during the launch. I always ran race fuel when I sprayed. I found the stock jetting on the rich side so I leaned it out using a 20 fuel jet. This helped out alot. I then later ran a 42 nitrous jet and a 22 fuel jet for a 70hp shot.

On the Spec C motor I ran up to 70hp shots with out issue. With a PE1820 and STI TMIC and stock airbox the car would run around 360whp on a dyno dynamics at Dynocomp. That was with the 50 jets and 100 octane. Later I switched to the GT30R and made more then that without the spray but still sprayed a 50-70 shot on it.

On my 2.5 block I sprayed a 50 shot and then later a 90 shot. Never had an issue....

I think this post just made me want to keep my nitrous setup for when i feel like being a little greedy with power.

But to give my .02:

I ran nx 50 shot wet kit with a vf22 @16psi on pump gas for quite a long time (20,000miles) without any problems at all and at the track I used 110 and ran more timing and 17-18psi with no issues all on my 02 wrx stock block. Oh and my car ran richer when I sprayed.

jdmej20 broke into the 11's i believe with a vf22 and a 50shot? I can't remember what he told me. I personally would never run it, but I think those are the numbers he told me.

I ran a 50 shot for 2 years with no issues on my 02 wrx with a vf39. I was using a wet system and usually ran 110 octane. Best time with a mild tune was 11.8. Need a more aggresive tune to do better!

in all this conversation about N2O, everyone runs wet shots, but i thought direct port nitrous was the "holiest of holies" when it came to nitrous.

why is it not popular on the EJ20, or am i wrong? i think DoctorNick is the first person i can remember setting up a direct port system (i'm sure there are others on the board, but not recently that i can remember).

direct port systems are a PINA to setup with all the pluming and what not. A wet single jet kit is the easiest way to go.

NICK- dont spray, we all know what will happen the way you drive  Save your pennies and get a good turbo setup and stay with it. I might even be selling my kit.....

well see I have to get the car fully dialed first, and depending on the outcome I may get greedy and go for more power...
