I bought a greddy air/fuel gauge and when I installed it the warning and memory light blink, and it keeps switching between like 8.0 and 14.5. When I accelerate it goes to 8.0 and then when I let off the gas it goes to 14.5. Anyone have any idea on what is wrong, or how to fix it?

#1- What car do you have?
#2- how did you connect it?
#3- you do realize that it's worthless for reading true A/F?

#1-2004 sti
#2- welded in o2 sensor behind the turbo before the cat
3#- why is it considered a narrowband? What gauge will tell me the true A/F reading?

it's not worthless if he welded in a devoted o2 sensor is it?

If the dedicated sensor is wideband and the gauge is able to read it, then it will be useful. But if it's a narrowband (1V) sensor it will only be marginally better than tapping the rear 02.

Is it a wideband, with a wideband guage? Otherwise the setup is wrong.

its the only A/F gauge that greddy makes. I thought that it was a wideband, but some people are saying its not.

Check out www.ravenblade-impreza.com and go to the following link:

Modification > Interior.

There is comprehensive documentation there as to how to install an air/fuel gauge. Good Luck.

link doesn't work, but I think it is my O2 sensor was mounter in a bad place(took it out), and because of where the cat is I can't mount it any farther down on the downpipe unless I was to get a catless down-pipe.

I talked to the company, and they said the sensor is fine. I just had it in a bad location, so I will be selling this gauge. I have talked to other wrx and sti owners who have this gauge and u have to have a catless downpiipe, and put it towards the end of the downpipe to make it work correctly. I'm selling it for $200 if anyone is interested.
