I'm gathering parts for an impreza fwd to awd conversion. Though searches I find comments on legacy compatibility often. What about the Forester? I have available to me a complete drivetrain. Tranny to rear subframe with brakes and lsd, any reason not to go with this? Any thoughts would be great....thanks

You may want to inquire about wheel fitment, as some on the forester forums have commented on how some aftermarket Impreza wheels were the wrong offset for foresters. (old car)

The drivetrain parts will work, the brake parts will work, the control arms are the same, I believe the crossmember is as well.

I think the trailing arms may be different though.

The only thing is that the rear cross member have shims between the body and the cross member....but you can cut them....It will fit!!!!

Good luck!
