OK, I installed a HID kit on my car the other day, and they're always on - just like the DRLs did on the stock bulbs. Only problem is....I disconnected the DRL module! With the stock bulbs in place I get no DRLs. Plug the HIDs back in and they're on. If I pull the e-brake up, the lights go out. Switch still works normally. Any ideas?

You probably disconnected the "module" under the hood which is nothing more than a dropping resistor, it does not fully disable the DRL system. You need to unplug the main control module which is located next to the glovebox, there are many threads here that explain where it is and show pics.
