can you give me a price for the H6 upgrade. everything needed? i.e. brackets, pads, rotors...

New2MeSuby
01-23-2005, 01:27 PM
What brake pads do the h6 upgrades take. Or what about the 05 leg gt vented rotor upgrade?

Psydotek
01-23-2005, 03:27 PM
H6 upgrade only upgrades rotor size. You use the same caliper and pads and the bracket (which is required) repositions the caliper to fit over the larger rotors. :) It's practically a direct swap with removing/bending the dust shield to make room for the larger rotor being the only "hard" part of the job. Larger rotor = more heat capacity and more braking power due to clamping force being applied further from the center of the wheel. It's a good $230 or so to upgrade. :D

[i'll be doing this in afew months]

WilkinsSubaru
01-24-2005, 12:20 PM
Agreed...the H-6 upgrade is an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your rear brakes. All you need is the new brackets ($54.12/ea) and the rotors ($60.00/ea). You can use your existing pads or we can throw in a fresh set if needed for $52.50. I would be happy to give prices for the Legacy upgrades but it would be more than twice the price due to having to change the calipers.

Thanks,
Jackie

Will they fit under stock 05 premium package rims?

WilkinsSubaru
01-25-2005, 06:20 PM
I don't see why they wouldn't considering that it's not a huge increase in size.

Is there any kind of information I need if I were to come on friday and pick up a set of rotors and brackets?

How much for the H6 rear upgrade shipped to 17601?

Kevin

WilkinsSubaru
02-07-2005, 05:03 PM
Shipping would be $10.00 to 17601. Shipping is a bit above average on the H-6 Upgrades due to the weight of the rotors. Shipping on just the brackets would be $7.00.

Thanks,
Jackie

Blah! Totally didn't think to ask you guys the other day about my brakes, I just asked about stock RS rear calipers I coulda saved a couple bucks going with your Legacy Turbo rear kit, I went ahead and bought it from somewhere else and got it shipped here. Anyways I'm stopping by sometime soon hopefully end of this week or begining of next for my WRX front rotor kit and maybe some other misc. parts.

WilkinsSubaru
02-10-2005, 11:18 AM
I have the front pads and rotors of course but I do not stock any of the brackets except for the H-6. If you would like to order them I could have them and any other parts you may need ready for pick up on Tuesday.

Jackie

what years are the legacy gt rear rotors found on?

just curious

Can the 04+ RSB brackets fit on GC chassis?

Andy

WilkinsSubaru
02-11-2005, 09:05 AM
Legacy GT kits are from the 05's.

I really do not know if the 04+ RS brackets would fit. As far as brake upgrades go we would normally sell you the first brackets produced for WRX's and the matching pads and rotors for an upgrade. You might want to do a search in the forums to see if anyone has tried it out or whether it would be worth trying.

Jackie

hum....

i think i meant not the older legacy turbo's, but the new legacy gt's

edit: i'm terribly sorry i'm hogging your thread. i asked in suspension as well but i just wanted to figure prices since you arent ~that~ far, it would be quicker shipping to order from you

Do you have a:

Front right - Control Arm
Front right - Knucle/ Hub assembly

Any help would be great. Thanks

Austin

WilkinsSubaru
02-15-2005, 10:35 AM
Hehe...I never mind someone chiming in on the threads or giving me some new ideas. I have heard about a set of rotors being vented but I have never personally seen them or found the part number for them. Unfortunately they are definitely not a set of rotors that we stock because I have checked them. I will try to do some more research and see if I can come up with them.

WRX Rush - You will receive a PM shortly.
