Alright last week it snowed for the first time here, and I took my 00 Impreza L out for a spin. As I rounded corners I could feel a significant thump, just one thump, coming from the front right wheel. Initially I thought is was snow build up throwing against the car, but on every turn when it would slip a little the thump would appear again. My first thought goes to the AWD, and does Subaru warranty cover this since it's technically drivetrain. (47,000 on the car) Could this be something to do with the AWD? Anyone else experience this horror?
Thanks

It may be warrantee if it is power train related and your 5 years are not up. Could be wheel bearings or CVs.

hmmm.. did you hit bumps in the road?
did the 00's have a rear LSD? i'm pretty sure they did.. I heard a very slight thump in my Forester but I had the radio off and everything, and I was just messing around in a parkling lot getting used to the LSD.

Could be LSD, but possibly something is loose. Maybe take pics so we can help you out more.

Its the diff, your awd is trying to compensate the slippage. Try launching your car at 2-3k it'll do the same thing.

You should check your spring. It may be off as in not fully well perched on the strut. This will cause a thunk when turning. I'm assuming the car's suspension is modified.
IF the vehicle's suspension hasn't be modified then I have no more ideas.

The RS did, for 2000 and 2001.
