"Last set of used Subaru 4 Pot big brakes" are these STi Brembos?

"Rotors may need replacing" what do you mean by may? I'm interested in these if they're the Brembos and I can use the rotors, but I guess if the rotors were in good condition you'd want twice what you're asking...

Chigliakus: no they are SUBARU 4 pots, not Brembo 4 pots. Rotors are getting thin may need replacing.

HongKongBeef : Pmed you back!

Um, I thought the Brembos on the STi were 4 pots. What size are the rotors? Any pics, or can you tell me what they came off of so I can do some research?

They come on all STi Ra's from 96+ fronts or on all JDM WRX's 02-04 fronts. they have 11-12" rotors i believe. ill have pics tomorrow

brembos are also but much larger and way more expensive

the brembo brake setup was first used in i think the 2001 model(our 2002) of there sti.the first STI of the GD body code (sti has been around for years, not new like many think) the old GC body code cars used a 300zx style front and rear 4pot 2 pot brake setup.

the plus to the "subaru 4 pot" to the "brembo 4 po" is that the subaru ones the parts are cheaper, you can buy a set of good rotors and pads and the car will stop very nicely. while the same is true with the brembo they are just very expensive
another plus is that the 1998-01 RS 16in wheels will clear the 4pots which is nice because tires are much cheaper in a 16in size, plus snow tires are better in a narrow 205 than the 225

(u can see the wheels i mean in my "homepage")

Remember, the Subaru 4-piston calipers need RS wheels (16x7 i think) to fit. OEM WRX wheels (16x6.5) don't fit without spacers. Most 17" wheels will fit too.

[you wouldn't be able to sell just the calipers and pads without the lines and rotors would you?] :)
