I was searching and found this, but which on is the STI part. I am having the same idle trouble did compression test all cyl were with in 3-4 psi of each other right around 120. I think my coil pack went bad but I need help in which one I should buy, and exactly how can I "track down" which coil went bad.
I had the code pulled and 1-4 were all mis firing do I replace all of them or do a leak down test.

I'd call Subaruparts. They're always very helpful when I call.

I'd see if you couldn't do a search on here or maybe PM some of the really suby-smart dudes on here and see if you couldn't figure out a way to test each coilpack individuallly. They're just attached to the harness by an electrical connector.

I had this problem and what I did, if you have a code scanner, was clear the codes. Then go for a drive and the second your CEL comes on, try to pull over and monitor which code comes up first. (P0301 - P0304) Clear it again and repeat the process. Maybe I just got lucky - but for me, even though all 4 codes always popped up, my #3 always came up first. I replaced that coil pack and everything worked well from then on out. Just my experience.

If you haven't gathered the info yet, here's a post about others' compression test results. Sounds like you're ok.
