I had a full stainless twin tip Stromung catback exhaust and midpipe on my 2003 yellow WRX wagon.....then Hurricane Ivan totaled the car! :furious:

I now have a 2005 STI, and I want a single tip Stromung for it. I DO NOT want to go with the down pipe (YET), and all I'm seeing in the single tip is 3". :confused: So can I get the 2.5" anywhere in a single tip? I want to try to look stock. I may do the downpipe and midpipe later.

Does anybody else have JUST a single tip Stromung CATBACK on their STI---with everything else stock?

Forget ANY 2.5" on your STi.....it is a waste.

Get an adapter made...buy somebody's stock midpipe and get it welded....but buying a 2.5" axleback is a waste.

It's just that the car only has 4,000 miles on it; and I don't want to void my warranty by putting a full 3" TBE on it. I'll do a downpipe after 36,000 or so....

So would there be any performance decrease by using that "ADAPTER" midpipe; where the stock 2.5" exhaust would turn into a 3" aftermarket rear of the cat? :confused:
