man where have you guys bought your 98-01 2.5RS's??? I keep looking allll over, autotrader, cars.com, carsdirect, local dealers, etc and I do find a few even within the 200-300mile range. However alot of these are automatics and I want mine specifically with a 5spd. I either want blue or silver (preferably the rally pearl blue but the ridge blue will do just dandy :) ) and it just bugs me no one wants to sell their 2.5RS and I don't blame them at all lol...any pointers guys? I live in the bay area/sacramento area of CA. I refuse to go to stevens creek no matter what, I just don't trust them at all and no one does to boot. I currently have a pretty friendly dealer looking for the 2.5RS for me at auctions (actually the sales manager said he would help as my friend referred me to speak to him) and he has been very friendly and helpful which is hard to find lol. thanks guys :)

Yah, dont go to Stevens Creek, have you checked out I-club.com? That is where most of the BA guys are, I see them for sale there all the time. I bought mine from a friend.

yea...im so not going to stevens creek even if they are cheap and have 2 of the cars i want lol....yea ive checked i-club and here i see alot of people selling their WRX and STI's lol...i dont wanna buy from a private party again, im debating it, but i want a warranty w\my car and right now im researching the warranty companies out there to see about getting my car one but not from the dealer if i can since alot of the dealers that have my car are like 50-80miles away from me...i definently want the extended warranty tho since im not going to mod the car, just a good funny sporty car to drive basically that i like

I found mine on Autotrader. I looked for 2 months before finding a low mileage, 5MT sedan. I couldn't even be picky about colors.

4 months bro and counting bro. good luck. i'm going tomorrow (friday) to look at a BRP 00 coupe with 60k outisde of ATL that there is a VERY good likelyhood i'm gonna buy.

good luck to you!!!!

i've been using auto trader and cars.com, beware, autotrader FUBARs the distance, whereas cars.com isn't too bad. get the phone #, use reversephonedirectory.com, and look it up, then map to the locantion with randmcnally or yahoo maps.

by the way, the car is 200mi from me, 400 round trip.

I'm sorry, WHAT? All over in what capacity? I'm lucky if I see another Subaru once a week, much less an RS of any year. It took me a year to find my car and I ended up having to go on eBay and buy one from a dealer in New Jersey (eh, I needed to take a trip home anyway). Perhaps I should have gone next door to NC...

You can't find any because guys like me buy GC/GM's imported from California and bring them up to Canada. Good luck on your search. :)

I also had a problem finding one. They are a fun car that retains its value, and who would want to give one up. unless the WRX/STi upgrade is affordable. I eventually found a ridge blue 5spd. I love it.
Dig deep into the yellow pages and look for used car dealers and start calling around. I found one in the most unlikely place, which happend to be within 30 miles from my home. It may take awhile but be patient you'll find one.
