Hey everyone. Im wondering if anyone has had problems with rattling from their exhaust, and im talking very noticable rattling. ive got a 99 rs with about 140k on it and an axleback magnaflow exhaust, so ive never touched anything from the cat forward. i tried to clamp the shields on the cat but to no avail. any tips?

i got rid of the heat sheliding and had no problems, this is a common problem with subies, that according to my mech. who is a former subie mechanic.

I had this problem and fixed it myself. what was happening weas my exhuast was shifting over a bit so under heavy cornering I heard some odd rattleing when tooken to subaru they said it was the heat sheilding. So by drilling two small hole into the last exhuast handers on the muffler and putting two pins in them, and added two washers, so the exhuast stoped shifting around. no more shifting, no more ralleing.
