View Full Version : Anyone running WI with a Hydra yet?

Just looking to see if someone found a way to control and or map a WI system using the Hydra's 3d map capability.

I personally am looking to control an Aquamist high speed valve with mine, but I rather not use my car as a guinny pig to test out. Or I can try re-wiring my FIA2 up and hope that it works this time with the Hydra (wouldn't start with the Hydra).

I am sure people would have done it by now if Hydra would include a pinout and extra harness pins with their product.

You are going to have to go straight to Hydra with that. You can DEFINITELY do it without a doubt with your HSV and a free 3d PWM Map. But you'll have to talk to them about wiring it up.

I thought that WI was next on Phil's hit list of things to do once he gets finished getting out the bulk of STi Hydra's and then going on his 'road show' around the states getting tuners up to speed. That may be a while at that rate though.

It's on Phil's list. The Hydra can handle the logic, piece o' cake. Phil is trying to decide which output to use across the wrx, sti, and evo. I sent him all the techno stuff I have on voltage requirement for the HSV, how much voltage the DDS2 puts out and so on. He's still crawling out from under a rock with all the units that have gone out recently. When that quiets down, I imagine he'll turn to this, or we'll bug him to death.

Oh, you don't need the FIA2. If uses one of the injector outputs it can be set to low impedence and then anything over 6 volts will run the HSV.
