Ok I have searched this site and looked at alot of the threads that discuss the Perrin Pulley (non- underdriven). Here is what I would like to truely know all in one before I OK the order with Rallitek.com.

1. Is it a mod worth $130
2. Any proven power/tourque gains (Dyno sheets please)
3. Any Proven 1/4 Mile speed/time gains (Slips if you got them)
4. How hard is it to install on a 98L (other car install times welcome)
5. Any reason NOT to get this.

Thanks for all the imput guys.

I put one on my girlfriends 99 2.2l OBS and i am really glad i got it. Her car is an Auto and that thing really was not all that fun when you dumped on the gas before the pulley install. It frees up the revs for sure. I also noticed having it on there helps keep the car in gear longer and uses a lot more of the rpm range. I did notice that while driving on the freeway you could dump on the gas and the pickup was a lot better. Now i'm not saying this pulley is gonna push back into your seat or anything but we are both very happy with it.
I totally recommend it and also keep in mind it is not underdriven like most others, which is a good thing in my opinion. Putting this pulley on probably took off around 5 lbs or so.

sorry we do not have any times or dynos thought but though i'd give my 2 cents.

I kept thinking about getting it myself for the past few months 'cause the logic for performance gain is sound to me. Instead of keep modding the intake/exhaust, the pulley should be another piece that would be a great performance gain. Instead of adding to the peak hp/torque, I'd be happier if I get better throttle response, keep in boost longer, reving up easier, or staying in gear longer. I mean, a lot of times when you see HP gain, it doesn't even translate to any performance gain when driving on the streets. Anyway, I finally gave in and bought it just now... I'll post again once I have mine installed. :)
