Hi Everybody,

So, I replaced my plugs with NGK's sometime about 2 weeks ago. When I did, I was running the engine and a friend of mine was looking in the engine compartment. He noticed that my engine seems to torque a lot when I rev the engine, and I looked in the compartement, and there does seem to be much more movement than I think there should be by the engine. Should I consider replacing the motor mounts? What recommendations do you guys have?

Thanks,

Oster

Sorry, I've got a 2 dr MY00 2.5RS. I've got 89k on the motor. I hadn't realized that's not in my profile anymore.

I think thats just the nature of boxer motors... I know mine shakes alot more then my 4runner's V6, and my friends I6.

But mounts should help, if you feel it is needed, be ready for more vibrations inside your car, and the engine will sound louder.

The best choice, if you don't want to go with some super-stiff race version, is STi Group N. The same manufacturing technique, just stiffer where you need it.

up, the Group N mounts (and tranny mount while you're at it) are great. Honestly one of my favorite mods, although I don't notice them anymore. They do add a little shaking at certain idle speeds but nothing harsh. When you corner there is no shift as the engine shifts over on the stock mounts. It just feels solid. A very nice, simple mod.
