ok guys since im looking at some 2.5RS's and im trying very hard to find 1 soon without trying to rush it and go buying a POS... im trying to sell my 88 5.0 right now so i can make room and i found this:

http://www.carsdirect.com/used_cars/listings/vehicle_detail_prem?listing_id=12322692&search=794f6e21ba28c0b818143893ff5c7c9e-144915014-12322692-dealer_referral_vehicle&zipcode=94533

its a 99 2.5RS Coupe, 115k miles, theyre asking about 9,488 and im sure i can talk them down a bit more.....now ive heard 100k miles isnt much for a soobie but im just weary of ANY vehicle having such high mileage. has anyone delt with elk grove acura or the lasher group in general? any info is appreciated, thank you! :)

PS - i may keep this thread to post other 2.5RS's i come across for input on them :)

depending on the car condition i say it might only be worth 7g or maybe 8 at lease due to over milage......if its from an acura dealer then they aint know nothing about the car....talk them down on the price......

I got mine, 93,000 miles, for $8500. (coupe, blue).

I'd say more, but the listing is giving me a bad link.

Does anyone else think paying $8k or $9k for a Subaru with six digit mileage is crazy? Even if you are paying Blue Book that's still nutty..

/\ your nutty  j/k.

Any car is going to depreciate. The fact that 5 year old, 100,000 mile subarus are still going for $9k speaks volumes of it's reliability, beauty, rarity, etc. The 2.5RS was ahead of it's time. It opened the door for the WRX, which in turn helped the STi and EVO. It's a historical car IMHO.

Did I pay more than it's worth to a non-enthusiast? probably. But it doesn't bother me at all.

Not only that, but look at the STi. If a 5 year old scoob has this little deprication compared to lets say a neon. I could find a gaggle of neons for $1500 or less w/ 100,000 miles. Why? because their cr*p. They fall apart. In 5 years, I bet the STi's will still be going for $15000 or so, and probably much more than that.

Scoobs are great cars.
