MY '98, DOHC 2.5 RS. Weather has been cold, 5-15 degrees the past week or so. Ticking started in engine, only lasted up to 2,000 RPM's. All my belts are new, roughly 20,000 miles on them. New water pump also. The sound, to be more specific, is clicking, squeeling, and a tick almost. Now, it won't start up. I checked it out, fuel IS getting to engine, so there is no possibility of the lines being frozen. The engine cranks, but doesn't fire up. I have yet to check for spark, will do in an hour or so. I will also pull a CEL to be sure of anything else.

Anyone have any info for me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

ticking could be timing belt tensioner.
