I need to order rings and bearings for an ej25 that I got secondhand but the dealer wont order them unless he knows the exact date of the engine, which i don't know. He says that there's to many options, sizes ect. anyone know how to decipher the numbers off the block and turn it into a date? my block has 275773 stamped on it. thanks.

Look at your engine serial number, just below and to the drivers side of the throttle body. It'll say something like "EJ251AW3AB". The 9th and 10th digits, in this example the AB, should be what he's talking about. I don't know how to decipher them since I don't have a parts catalog but he should be able to.
