I just made my own IP-BUS Aux. adapter. It cost me about $2 instead of the $35 stores charge.
All you need is a cable with RCA plugs or Mini-Jack plug and 2 computer connectors. The computer connectors are the ones in a computer case that hook up the Power and Reset buttons to the system board. Alternate connector can be one used on a CD-AUDIO cable plugged into your CD-ROM drive.
Simply wire it as per included diagram and you are done. There is no other electronics involved. I took apart the Pioneer CD-RB10 adapter and it's very simple design.
This was not my idea, but I found it on another website.
Here is the diagram:

The Aux. setting is normally disabled on a Pioneer HU. Look in your manual. For my DEH-P7400MP it's as follows:
1 Press 'Source' until unit turns OFF
2 Press 'Function' and hold until 'Time' appears in the display.
3. Press FUNCTION repeatedly until AUX appears in the display.
4 Select AUX 'on 'or 'off' with up/down buttons
5. Press and hold FUNCTION until unit turns off.
Now, when you press the Source buttin, AUX will be available.
