Although SOA's media site has had a tab labelled "Executive Bios" since the first of the year, clicking on it today lead to actual information for the first time. The link is at:

For some unknown reason, no bio is offered for Rick Crosson - Vice President, Marketing. I presume he is responsible for all national vehicle marketing efforts including advertising, promotions and sponsorships, vehicle launch activities and brand identity, market research, relationship marketing and the owner loyalty program.

It occurs to me that maybe this thread would be a good vehicle to help aid readers in identifying and placing various SOA spokespeople (those allowed by SOA to make attributable statements to the press).

Rick Crosson's appointment to VP, Marketing, was announced by SOA on Jan 27, 2003. Here's a copy of SOA's press release (sorry, like many other SOA announcements, it's not available on SOA's media web site):

I believe Mike Whalen, who's been in SOA marketing long enough to have been mentioned in Where the Suckers Moon, has the title National Manager, Corporate Communications and reports now to Rick Crosson. And, according to http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/07-13-2004/0002209738&EDATE=, Dominick Infante, Jason Alexander's double, is SOA's public relations manager, the primary contact for all Subaru product-related media inquires, and he reports to Mike Whalen, I think.

SOA has made it remarkably easy to contact these individuals directly via email. SOA is small enough that nearly all email addresses are a concatenation of the person's first name initial with their last name. For instance, Lisa Fleming (whom I believe reports to Dominick Infante) has an email address of the form lfleming @ subaru.com.
