Motorola radios would be nice to have if the drive happens. They made the Homer meet a few years back a blast.

atleast 2 hours to get there and back and figure 1 or more in town, I can see starting no later them noon or 1pm if we want to make it back into town with decent time left over...if not 10 or 11...

DQ will be open and a little further down the street is the Tides Inn, with a nice river view and a cheeseburger/tall draft beer for $7... but they don't server peanut buster parfaits. :lol:

It is great to see WRX owners coming together like this. I would definitly go, but I cannot. I have to work :(. Just make sure that you all have another gathering next month, I will be sure to bring a radio :lol:! AHHH, I WISH I COULD GO! It is so lonely being like the only WRX owner and ice drifter in Eagle River, must find others like me ;). I would feel like the child of the group though with only being 18 in high school and owning a WRX :lol:. If you guys/gals have another one of these trips I just might go with you all to meet you all.

Heh, the roads will be plowed by then lol, no Subaru should get stuck in this stuff. I remember, it was about 3 years ago on my birthday, March 17th(only way I remember the exact date lol.) It snowed 28 inches within a 36 hour period, it was crazy. SUVS, Pickup trucks, and I be damn, the 4 door AWD Subaru Legacies were the only ones getting around. I was really surprised, they really do have the best AWD system.

Only one solution to that...get a turbo kit!

(p.s. I have stock WRX header, uppipe, and downpipe sitting in storage, if you're interested. It would take a lot more parts than this but it'd be a start)

Well I never see anyone and I am always looking and have been for so long. Some may pass through here, but that is it. The only guy I see regularly is this guy in a WRC Blue 05 WRX STi, but I really never see him do anything other than driving his girlfriend somewhere.

Oh, and Michael I am the guy buying your control arm (Driver side) from you, Errick:D. I get off work tonight anytime between 7:30 to 7:45 and I have your money and would like to get that control arm so I can switch them tomorrow morning (If you can). So if you read this, I am going to call you sometime around 7:45 to see if you can and where to meet.

NASIOC="North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club", so it's Canada/US, but the AKIC (AlasKan Impreza Chapter) is Alaska-specific Subaru owners. Oh, and there's a drive to Soldotna in about 9 days. You'll see a lot more of us pass through Eagle River this summer on the way to the dragstrip too :devil:

There is (or used to be) at least one teacher at Chugiak with a WRX.

Does anyone have an OBD II scan tool they could bring to the meet? I got a MIL light and it was on for like a week but then went off today. I kinda want to know what the history code is. Thx

I just saw the thread, had no idea you folks were planning a trip down my way. I am actually out in the bush right now, working in SW Alaska 500 miles from any roads(well except the ice road in Bethel), so it looks like I will be missing this one.

I can't believe you guys would miss the Daytona 500 to drive to Soldotna.

If I were home we could watch it at my place.

I will be around more often though, my schedule is moving from week on week off to 5 days on 10 days off. :disco: woooooooohoooooooooo

well we had a good turn out this morning, better than at 2pm :lol: , the drive was fun to alittle slop on the roads but not to bad, the parfait was pretty good to, only took us 2hrs to get back to town aswell, all in all it was a good trip but our cars were alot cleaner before we left.

I missed you guys- *****. I actually cruised by DQ twice between 12:00 and 2:00 (in between doing paperwork and watching the Daytona 500), but didn't see any subies?? Oh well. Next time I'll try to have somebody give me a wake up call when you get close... of course that'll probably be in June 2007 .... I'll just have to try to come to ANC for the next one.

it won't be that long before we get back down there most of us that came down are likely to come down again when summer hits it was a fun drive and will be better in the summer :devil:

I had a great time, pretty good turn out. Sam and Damien drove with us to Turnigan and then from there we had about 5 people continue on to Soldotna. Will definately have to do it again in the summer time. Can't wait until next months meet. It should be a lot warmer by that time :D
