Right now I run on Enkei RPF1 17x8....but I've really been loving the look of the NT03+M. Anyways I really want these wheels because they look awesome in gold. (Falken R34) The problem is that my car is geared more towards roadracing and I really don't want to throw off the balance of the car. Do you guys think I will notice the extra few lbs? Is there any other cheaper unsprung weight modifications I can make to counter the extra few pounds?

I have wondered the same thing.

What kind of weight savings are there in lighter rotors and brake calapers?

it depends on how well you "feel" the car. I have a friend that noticed going from gc-010 prodrive rims in 17x7.5 to 17x8 ce28n's. He said the difference was huge. Just keep both sets and use one for track. If you go with heavier rims, you can always go lighter tires(toyo t1s). If anything, the tire should make quite a difference since its towards the edge of the circumfrence(sp)<<i forgot how to spell it

I noticed the difference going from Kumho MX's to Falken 'Azenis'( ) as soon as I let out the clutch....~3.5 pounds/tire.

Wow, I find it hard to believe that one could notice a 3 pound increase or decrease per tire. I am not saying that you did not feel it i just cannot imagine that it could actually be noticeable.

Most people say they can perceive a difference in acceleration with a 12lb increase in wheel or tire weight. If you really want to road race, then you should also be concerned about the suspension's reaction time and reducing unsprung weight.
