Heres the skinny: Currently I'm at a TXS stg 3 with the FMIC insted of the TMIC. I have a deadbolt td05 20G, walbro pump and modded stock injectors ready for install this summer. Since I want to properly break-in the turbo for a hundred miles or so before it gets hammerd on on the dyno, for the most safety should I: a) Try to modify a stg 4 map w/ my limited utec knowledge b) hound jorge or another reputable tunner for a base map w/ modded stockers and a similiar turbo or c) can I just run a stg 4 map w/ fuel correction in the parameters?
Also, if any one has any constructive suggestions on any more supporting mods ENGINE wise (USDM 2.0L) that will make my set up a little bit more reliable, shoot away.
Thanks,
Justin

Without a wideband you won't know where your A/F will be especially with the modded stock injectors. IN THEORY you could use a base stage 4 map and the injector scaling, but again, you're tuning in the dark and could cause major damage.
You are kind of far from a "standard" base map. As far as I know, there aren't base maps available for the modded stockers.
So, my vote would be d) buy a wideband, then tune to achieve proper A/F results.
- just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the opinion, but considering I have a real great tunner just 20 min away from me, I dont think buying an A/F gauge will be a good buy since I know this guy will get a better tune with his equiptment than I could ever achieve. Also, I already have an egt gauge. I know I cant tune from that, but it should keep me from damageing my engine if I start running too lean if I catch the riseing egt's in time.

I too am in the same boat with the same modifications. If anyone could answer this, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

the only break in you need for the turbo is for teh time it takes to drive from yoru house to the dyno. put the stuff on and get it tuned right away, or buy a wideband and cross your fingers

you will a boost controller..with amount of boost
the stock one might not be able to keep up with
higher boost..
just installed and tuned the same setup a few weeks
back. that turbo can hit 20psi easy..fuel cut from over
boost on utec is 20 psi..
