I bought a LM-1 to monitor A/F ratio on the my forester. My question is, what would be the best location to install it.(up pipe or down pipe) The down pipe would be the easiest, but would the up pipe yield a more accurate reading.

After the turbo, before the Cat. (im assuming you have aftermarket TBE)
Go here, watch videos:

Also, the Bosch sensor install information is the last appendiex un the TurboXS tuner install guide: http://turboxs.com/_images/Tuner/TunaUserManual_1v1.pdf

I still wonder if the a/f ratio would be a little richer up srteam as complared to down stream of the turbo. The plan as of now is to install it in my bellmouth downpipe.

My LM-1 should arrive next Tuesday and I was planning on installing it in my DP (it's the Cobb DP with a bung for the wideband). I still have a stock uppipe, will that prevent me from getting a usable reading since it's after the turbo and after the cat?

Chigliakus,
Did you ever get your LM-1 installed? If so did you have any issues with the WB sensor located right after the backside of the Turbo?
