What do you guys use to get the winter grime off your cars? I am looking for a simple product that works, where I could pull into a car wash, spray the cleaner on my car, then rinse it off (along with the grime). I dont want to take a weekend to detail my car yet with break-up a few weeks away, but I have neglected it too long and I cant stand looking at it.

not sure of the name, but i use the bug and tar remover that i got from walmart. i think its GUNK brand, and its a blue can. i spray it all over the car, then spray the car down at the DIY on dimond. it gets all the grime off. and i follow up with some wax as you dry or Stoners Speed Bead. If i am real lazy i spray it all over the car and do the $8 car wash at Lazer wash.
but yeah, the Gunk bug and tar remover works great.

Yeah, I'd go with the gunk crap. We use something similiar at our detail shop, probably a little bit stronger than that though. Leave it on for a couple minutes and watch the tar and grime drip off the car. You don't realize how much crap is on there until it starts to drip off and the real color of the car comes out.
Another tip would be, don't go through the laser car wash and pick the one that has the wax. I only do the 5 dollar one with the spot free rinse if I'm desperate. The wax will only coat your car sealing any grime and tar that the laser wash couldn't get off. It takes twice as long to get off with the tar removal. I see this all the time and lots of people call us asking how to get it off lol.

You guys are the shiza. That stuff saved me 3 days of detailing mine and the wifes vehicles. Although it took 2 cans for each car, it was well worth it. Even the wheel wells came clean on the wifes truck. If you havent tried this stuff yet, do it...it is well worth it for getting off the grime.

I used to use Wd-40, worked great, but had to was car again after using it. Now I use Honda Polish. I don't have to wash the car after use. I get it at either Conti Honda or Honda of Anch (cycle shop), it's a black and red can.
