I've already broken one bolt (snapped the head off), stripped the other one (the phillips head kept slipping out of the center). I'm trying to remove them so that I can replace my burnt out bulb (and my old mystery bulbs) with some 100w bulbs.

Just wondering if anyone else has similar experience.

Use a socket, (I think its 10mm)

that's how I broke the one bolt.
