Last spring I was at the one on Camelback somewhere around 17th ave. Very low pressure, IMO. Went on a testdrive, screwed around talked to the Service Manager, the Sales Manager and the salesman. All seemed like nice people.

my husband and i have both gone through pitre and we had great experiences. my car got shipped from CO, and there was a smudge in paint, they are eating the cost of fixing it for me, as they should....but they are nice there.

Also thinking about a 2005 STi. Made a visit to Pitre (McDowell Rd & Scottsdale approx) and drove one. The sales buy was very nice and fairly knowledgable about the car however didn't seem too interested in my specific requirments even though I suggested placing an order for it.

My wife an I purchased a 2005 BMW 325i a few months ago and had ordered it to our specification. It took >3months to get but the process was painless and even a bit fun.

At this point I have started to look in other cities/states to find my STi.

I currently have a 2002 WRX and can't decide if I want to start dumping money into it or purchase an STi. I bought my '02 at Camelback and will personally NEVER go back there although it is possible it isn't owned/ran by the same people anymore.

Well I'm slow to post the update but I did purchase a new '05 STi at Avondale Subaru. It was a bit of a drive but John knows the cars well and even has an '02 WRX himself. Service is still unknown but I'll update after I give them a try.

Here we go:

I have an 03 wrx, purchased it new in 03 from Pitre. I went to Camelback first and they treated my whole family like crap....will absolutely never step foot on that lot again. 21 bell(Steven Jory) is good, they didn't have a lot of selection when I went there though. I still go there for a lot of my maintenance stuff and they are absolutely great. Pitre the sales people were very friendly and knew their stuff. When I bought the car it had a few minor dings on it which they took care of before I received the car. I have also gone here for some maintenance stuff and they have alway been good. They tend to be the most mod friendly dealership in the valley. I have been out to Avondale when my friend was looking at legacy's. The sales staff were ok. The dealership is still very new and their service department is still being built. FYI I live in the west valley so the dealership that is the furthest from me is the one I ended up bying from (Pitre), so I hope that helps someone. Hopefully Camelback is under new management and shaped up but I won't go back there...Happy hunting :D

I've had a really good experience with Steven Jory Suabru on 21st street and Bell...they used to get a lot of crap but I think they are under new management. The service department manager and parts dude are both good guys.

i have ended up ordering my06 from avondale, so far they have been good as far as my order and saying that they will give it to me for invoice plus d+d. but as it was the sales manager that i was working with and he has since left the dealership we will see what happens. I did look into pitre but they werent willing to go less than 1500 over invoice on an 05, and that was the fleet manager so i wasnt too impressed, but they did let me test drive an used my05 that they had, which finalized my decission of wanting the sti. thanks for all your help guys and gals

My son got scr***d over by the folks at Avondale. They lowballed and took em to the cleaners. I tired to warn em but he believed their bull. Anyway I'd just throw in Lamb Subaru in Prescott. The salesmans to talk to there is Bob or JD.

I got mine at Camelback Subaru but only because I was referred to them by my buddy who works in the business. Got the car under invoice - and they threw in the boost gauge as well. They also gave me a "dealer cost" coupon for any parts I order through the dealership. PM me if you want the referral.....
