These are NGK Iridium IX plugs with an NGK heat range of 7. Stock STi plugs are NGK with a heat range of 6.

Hey man! Absolutely with that setup I would use colder plugs. Keeping cylinder temperatures down is key, it allows the ECU to advance timing a little further before the threshold of knock and generally gives you more of a safety margin. Give me a ring here at the shop.

Will they fit the 05 Legacy GT? We have the 55 not 57, but baring the IC,turbo, and plenum; same engine as the STI.


Just wanna be certain because I have modded the poop out of the thing and wanna throw in colder plugs.
