Do you have Axxis Ultimates for the front of a '03 WRX?

SpeedElement
02-10-2005, 02:33 PM
omahasubaru- sorry, but Axxis Ultimates are not available in 03+ WRX fronts (D721) or 04+ rears (D770). Only the less aggressive Axxis Metal Masters are available for those years. I highly recommend the Hawk HPS pads; those are the ones I was running w/ DBA 650 rotors before I switched to the Stoptech BBK.

WRXGuyInTulsa-Hawk HPS (Front/ Rear) - 04+ STI: $180 SHIPPED is what you would be looking for as direct replacement pads for your Brembo equipped STI.

Perfect timing -

I picked up the Hawk HPS pads from you last month, and now you put the StopTech brakelines I want on sale this month - cool.

I just sent you $145 via PayPal - nice doing business with you, Soren.

How do these compare to the stock pads?

SpeedElement

ripvw-thanks for the business. I got you order and will be taking care of that Tuesday when the shop opens.

olsalytbastard- the Hawk HPS dusts less than the stock pads and has better initial bite. We have swapped these pads in place of the stock pads on several customer's cars, all w/ great results.

The Hawk HPS is designed more for street driving and some auto-x. If you are more interesteded in pads you can track, the Ferodo DS2500 is the one for you.

Can you get Stoptech 328x28 rotors (rings)? How about Hawk Pads for the Stoptech calipers? PM me pricing if you don't want to post here.

Thanks

mav1c- Yes, we can get the replacement 328x28 friction rings w/ replacement hardware as well as the Hawk HPS pads. It will be $529 SHIPPED to Virginia for everything. If you want the Hawk HP+ pads, it will be $35 extra.

Thanks,

How about some HAWK pads for track days? Use the HPS for the street and the HT10 or HT14 for the track? What's the difference between the HT10 and HT14? Maybe Ferodo DS3000 pads for the track? Do you have any of these? Keep in mind that now run Carbotech XP9's and R-Comps at the track so I want a pretty aggressive/high-heat track pad.

How much shipped for the Hawk HPS for the STi to 00979 (Puerto Rico) or would it be the same price? ;)

Would be 2 quotes:
1 full f/r set and the other quote for 2 full f/r sets

Thanks!

mav1c- If you want Hawk pads for the track, the HT10 compound may be best for you. This is the same brake material the Turner Motorsport BMWs use on the SpeedVision Touring Car Championship Races. They are suppose to have an effective heat range from 300 degrees all the the way to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. If rotor wear is not a concern, these pads would be a good choice. Price is $210 SHIPPED

The Ferodo DS3000 are also a good set of pads, not quite as aggressive as the Hawk HT10 material, but the fellows down at Disc Brake Australia and BRITS up in Sonoma, CA seems to have had good results w/ them. They are closer to the Carbotech XP9s you currently run as far as friction coefficient (0.62) and temperature range (optimum max. is 750 degrees celsius). If rotor wear is a concern, this material may be best. Price is $260 SHIPPED

I don't have both pads on-hand at the shop, but can have them delivered to me by the next day if need be.

Leonardo- it will be $200 SHIPPED to Puerto Rico for (1) set of Hawk HPS pads, $390 SHIPPED FOR (2) sets of pads.

omahasubaru- it will be $40 SHIPPED for the rear Axxis Ultimate pads

anyone know the front and rear rotor size for a 2000 legacy GT limited, also a DBA gold slotted & x drilled part number

SpeedElement

Dweller- Is your chassis a BE5/BH5? If it is, then DBA has the Front DBA4650 (club spec) availalble for your car. The spec is 295mm x 25mm. As for the Rear, you can choose either the DBA657 slotted or the DBA4650 (club spec).

Hi, can you get ahold of the Axxis Deluxe+ pads?

If so, can you PM me a quote on front and rear Axxis Deluxe+ pads and stainless lines for an 02 WRX?

I know the differences between the various levels of pads, the person I'm helping buy wants pads similar to stock performance. As for the lines, can you let me know if there's a reason to step up to the Stoptech lines over the Goodridge?

Thanks!

Leonardo
02-18-2005, 11:44 AM
Leonardo- it will be $200 SHIPPED to Puerto Rico for (1) set of Hawk HPS pads, $390 SHIPPED FOR (2) sets of pads.

So it's $200. for a front and rear set? Or is it for one or the other?

SpeedElement
02-18-2005, 11:59 AM
Charge- It will be $170 SHIPPED for the Axxis Deluxe+ pads w/ Goodridge SS Lines. I don't have them in stock but can get them by the next business day if need be. As for the price difference between the Stoptech and Goodridge, the Stoptech lines are coated on the outside to help protect them from corrosion, while the Goodridge lines are bare metal. If you want the Stoptech lines instead of the Goodridge Lines, the Axxis Deluxe+/ Stoptech lines will be $185 SHIPPED.

Leonardo- Sorry, let me clarify. It will be $200 SHIPPED via USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail to Puerto Rico for (1) set (Hawk HPS front & rear for the STI w/ Brembo). If you buy (2) sets, I can include it in the same box and save on the shipping, so it will be $390 SHIPPED via USPS Priority. Oddly enough, FEDEX Ground service (7-10 day delivery) is more expensive.

Pretty soon I'll be looking to replace my front rotors, front and rear pads, and front and rear stainless brake lines. I do mostly street driving. The front pads that I had put on some 20,000 miels ago really messed up the front rotors.....really bad, so I need new ones. The rear rotors and pads dont really show that bad of wear, but the fronts are jacked!!!

Got a somewhat budget package you could recommend?

Thanks
