Edmunds.com kellybluebook.com nada.com are some good places too get prices
I know they have a 03 wrx silver that is new with a automatic you could probally get a good deal on at autoservice. Has been in there show room for ever. Just go in a haggle with em tell em you are willing too give invoice or 500 over invoice on a lot car. If you order one you will probally not get as good a deal. Also if you go too freds or any book store they sell edmunds new car price guides that list all the invoice prices on the cars and opitions and it breaks down what msrp would be for the same stuff.

If they still have a new '03, you should be able to get it for less than invoice. On a new '05, offer about $500.00 over invoice and see where that gets you. Subarus don't have a very big markup compared to a lot of other brands, so it doesn't leave a ton of room to haggle.

When are you going down too anch? Me and shawn are heading down sat. for the day.

Ps Have you thought about getting a turbo forester, or a legacy gt.
the forester stock for stock is quicker and has more room, add some sti bolt ons and it looks really sharp.

Honestly, Denali's probably your best bet if you've got no credit. Your rate will probably be a little bit higher though. I got both of my car loans through Credit Union 1. I have ties there, and I got great rates, but they would only loan me $8,500 when I had no credit and no cosigner.

Wells Fargo is good about giving decent rates to those with little or no credit. Might be easiest just to have the dealer send out your info to a few places, so you know you get the best deal. As far as your credit ratings and credit checks, its highly understandable that when you are looking to buy a new vehicle, or anything for that matter, that you check around and have multiple credit inquiries. It doesn't necessarily affect your credit negatively. On the 3 credit bureau's, i've never had them hold it against me.

I've also been told to try and avoid having your lein holder, the same place you bank with. While it might be nice to transfer payments directly from your bank account online, if you decide to miss a payment, they will deduct it directly from your bank account, and if you don't have enough to cover it, you're overdrafted!!!

PS - go for the AUTO!!!!!!!!!!

Go for the auto...? Confused... yea Im not gonna try wells fargo.. im sick of this crap... ive been denied too many times.. I have over $3500 a month incoming cash flow.. 0 credit... good co signer though... putting $5000 down.. but yet I cant get approved.

lol who told you that? i work there and believe me we are a credit union. Where you counter offered due to insuficient credit? If so try to get your parent(s) to be primary and you be a comaker to gain some credit. Make your payments for a year and try and refinance by yourself. Normal guidlines for a first time car buyer is 3x your gross monthly...Or you can try and get conti to be your lender prolly a highass interest rate but after a year refi locally...I was in the same boat as you man, in time itll come....

Well I had my wife and I on the application... then my step dad with a co signer....

I make $1700 a month.. she makes $1800 a month.
Im trying to get a loan of $21,000... I probably won't need but $20,XXX... but still.. I want to buy a new 05 WRX... and put $5,000 down... then be preapproved for a loan. I didn't mean to offend ya by the credit union comment... just something I heard...The lady said since I have little to NO credit.... that's why... :(

Could I have my parents be the primary and I be the cosigner...? How would that work if they are in Texas?

Konvict
02-17-2005, 02:37 AM
Shouldn't matter as long as you can get them to sign as Co-Signers. My parents would never do that, but if yours will, go for it! It will also help secure a lower interest rate, usually.

I want a 05 wrx.. but it seems as if no one is going to finance me for a reasonable interest rate...Im gonna talk to the dealer in anchorage this weekend and if i cant seem to get financed... I'm going to look into a used SRT-4 or something... but that's my last resort.. i'm realling wanting a scooby.

02-17-2005, 03:09 AM
Im going to own a forester xt in the future. I love the way they look.

There is a used srt-4 at the affordable in anch. but if you go with a "used" car, than go with the wrx. You'll like the awd a whole lot better, especially since you live up there.

Credit Union 1 doesn't do this as far as I'm aware. Plus, banks/credit unions are more willing to lend to someone who holds an account with them. Check with the dealer. Often times they can pull strings and make things happen. Or, if you sign as a co-borrower with your father as the primary, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

No affend taken man and it wouldnt be a problem if your parents are out of state...you could close the loan through the mail. the paperwork would be sent down to your parents first so they can sign then they would forward it to you so you can finalize. Pm me if you have questions man and ill try and help you as much as i can.
