Just want to do what is best for the club. I am resigning my position and putting Aaron in charge. I don't want to go forward in putting forth the tremendous effort that I have already for a few ungrateful people.

I have tried to make the best out of this. You all wanted us to organize. We did. A few didn't like it. They have continued to be xxxxxxxx about things. I don't belong in the position of president of a club that isn't a club. This thing we tried to do is more like "AZScooby, a division of the I-Club". I don't want it or need it.

I'm out.

Thats nice. :( Whats up with all of this? You know, I'm not a moderator, but if you two guys have a beef with each other, then you should probably settle it off forum. Maybe PM each other or something. There really isn't place for slandering each other here.

I have to do what is best for the club Mike. I always have and will. I have not slandered Dave nor will I.

I think we all need to take a deep breath. Let's things rest for a little while and then make decisions. Things decided in haste are usually the wrong thing. I appreciate what your trying to do. Yes maybe our growing pains are worse then some but AzScooby can be a wonderful thing. There are lots of new Subaru owners in the years ahead and we can be a resource and a voice for them.

I understand where you are going Stuart, but this has been something that is a "long time coming". Danny, Aaron and Nick can all attest to that.

I want everyone to understand that this isn't a snap decision. I don't need or want to move this forward with things the way they are.

If we want to progress AZScooby, it will be without me. I've told Aaron that I will continue to host the sites. I won't be involved with the club anymore, but will continue to work on the progress that we have made on Scoobymods.

If Aaron wants me back, he can talk to me offline about it (which he knows).

Sigh,
I have to agree with Stuart, as none of this will help the furthering of subaru appreciation--which is the reason why I'm here in the first place.

Kastle, no offense man, but I've personally had a hard time figuring out, at times, whether or not you're joking; you use the same language. I presumed that's because I'm new and don't know you well enough. Name calling, when it's obvious you're not joking, really isn't appropriate in public, imo. And especially not from a moderator.

Maybe the structure of AzScooby isn't right for everybody (I admit that all the rules seem a bit much to me, but I've already said so), but I see no need to drop out of something that means so much to you because of disagreement with others. If people don't want to join, no sweat (but a shame).

Do what's best for you.
I'm still interested in associating with like-minded (as far as subaru affiliation) people.
As long as I'm having FUN.

Garren,

I want to have fun. Just as much as everyone else. But it seems like I can't since we moved forward with the club. I have a lot of time and effort (contrary to what some people think) into the club, and for me, walking away is very difficult.

But I can't go on the way things were. You see how some people overreact. I said nothing to Dave, and he got pissed off about it. My comments were to Bud, Bud only, and were posted right after Bud called himself an xxxxxxxx. I thought that was pretty self explanitory. Then again....

I'm pretty straight forward as a person. If I have something to say, I say it. I type like I talk. Good or bad, don't know. I like to have fun. I like others to fun.

I don't know what else to do. This is best for everyone as it is obvious I'm not the ideal president.

ps - Sorry Aaron...

Kastle, you are a moderator of the i Club. I don't care what is going on with your own little club in AZ. All I know is that you have to watch what you say and how you say it around here. If you won't I will find another moderator. You are not setting a good example and actually trying to stir things up.

Wow.

I just went off for a couple of hours to have dinner and see a movie with the wife and the club self destructs.

Kastle,

Stuart's right. We all need to take a bit of a rest and focus on the fun part of this club. Right now, the most positive thing we have going is the fun run that Mike stepped up to organize. I think we should try to make sure that moves forward and leave the club organization rest for a bit. We can regroup afterwards and try to figure out how to move forward.

If you want to resign as club president, that's fine. I know you've put a lot of energy into it, but you're just a bit too domineering and your sense of humor can easily be offensive. I don't mean any of that as an attack. It's just my opinion and I think most of us (yourself included) would have to agree with it. Aaron has been the most level headed one of the bunch of us (myself included) and I think he will do just fine as President.

The one thing I don't want is for you or Dave to get mad and leave the club. You've done an incredible job as webmaster and, despite your demeanor, you add energy to the club. I think it's a good idea for you (and me) to take a step back from the politics and let a few others step up and decide they'd like to see the club run.

Dave,

Don't storm off on us, you're a better man then that. I was not offended by Kastle's jibe and I do think you mistook it some. (Maybe just a little. You really have to take Kastle with a little sweet-n-low, some times. ;) )

We need your input too. After all, you're the only one of us who was raised with the proper appreciation of these cars. ;) The rest of us had to learn it.

All,

I appologize for the part I've played in setting the environment in which this happened.

Try to stick with this thing. You don't have to get involved with the politics. Just show up at the events you enjoy and try to make some sort of contribution to the group. This sort of squabbling will happen from time to time. Anytime people feel strongly about something they're going to butt heads with someone. Hopefully we'll get past the initial stuff.

Let's all just "chill" a little and try to remember why we started this.

Bud, no offense taken. I know I can be domineering. Most people take me with a grain of salt, but sweet-n-low will work as well. C'est la vie.

If the club continues, that's cool. I will be pursuing some other interests.
