anyone ever bought a subaru from a carmax dealership? ive had a few co-workers that bought a car or 2 from carmax and had no problems vehicle wise and customer service, absolutely no BS there they said and were out in an hour or 2 :) i kinda wanna go and check that out, there's a 01 2.5RS i wanna buy... 4dr blue 5spd everything is clean on it and its 11,996 :banana:

my only experience with carmax was selling my car to them. i went to the inglewood location. very friendly people there.

I bought my STi from there; the car was super clean. They had to ship the car from 5 hrs away. I specifically asked them to check the tires. They said the tread was within 95% of new. The car had less than 4k miles. When the car got here, the front left and right rear where super worn out and the edges were really rounded. I pointed it out they said they would check out replacing them. They ended up putting all new tires on it without too much complaining. They give u 3 days to check out the car and take it back if you don't like it, and a 30 warranty on pretty much anything. They even let me swap some stuff out of my WRX which a traded in so they were pretty cool. I think their prices are a little high personally, but then they check out the cars really good so you are pretty assured of getting a good car. I had a good experience. Also, the car didn't have remotes so I bought them and they reimbursed me.

awesome! 2 of my coworkers bought cars thru them at the roseville store in CA....1-PT cruiser, 1- 00 GT mustang....im about to buy a 2.5RS hopefully if they still have it! man, as soon as i find 1 its usually gone lol, i just keep scouring hehe :)

well im about to buy my 01 RS :banana: its from carmax, its in NC but i gotta get it shipped out here to CA ($850, $150 of it goes towards the purchase of my subbie) it has 66k miles 5spd 4dr ridge pearl blue, pretty clean in and out, and theyre asking $11,996 which i dont find to be THAT bad compared to other dealers around, and they have a good rep too...just gotta wait a little while to get it...what do you guys think of the price? :)

PS - the warranty im going to buy from them is 2yr/24k miles for $1049
the other warranties are:
1yr/12k for $899
2yr/24k for $1049
3yr/36k for $1649

I wanted to go with the 2yr so i get a happy medium and so i can do some mods a little sooner..like suspension primarily...nothing wild for the motor :lol:
