besides forced induction...what are some decent mods that'll get me to around 225+hp or run at least in the 14's on 1/4

Run autox or something with it.Its not really a dragster type machine.And there is no way your going to get those kinds of times with out forced induction.a strong NA build is putting maybe at most 185 to the wheels.best thing is to swap it out for a wrx motor.that is the most cost effective way of doing it.

an ej20 will get you 227 hp and 14s in the 1/4 mile

Yeah with the figures you're looking for without a swap or FI you're looking at a good 10k worth of NA parts excluding the hundreds, maybe even thousands more for labour. Go with the swap and get piece of mind as well as power if you don't know what I'm talking about go into the conversions forum and take a gander.
