i want to run a helix DP, but am concerned about the boost creep issue (like most are). Do you think useing the silencer on my catback would create enough back pressure? The silencer pretty much cuts down the topend power alot like the stock axle back is reported to do. Would i just be safer to run the axleback? or is that enough to combat boost creep anyway?

A silencer is too far down the exhaust path to create any back pressure (on anything anywhere near a stock STi at least). I am guessing you are talking about a non-catted DP? Not really a stupid question though.

ya non-catted i meant, ok so a silencer not gunna combat boost creep! So is the general consensus that the stock axle back will prevent creep? i have seen arguments both ways on this board.
