also, major props on getting two clamps on the hose by the battery....it's tight as hell in there....

No the kits come with standard clamps, we just did not want those pipes to ever blow off.

Yea a complete AUX hose kit from the sti would be great, I cant stand the black, so red or blue would be nice to have, I saw that they make them for the WRX I could never find them pre-cut for the sti!! Rally-Sport you should put one together and sell it with the FMIC ;) just and Idea for you guys to think about.

Dang would I still be able to use the Perrin Big-Maf intake with this FMIC?
I am going with a GT30R, would I need a APS-Intake? I wouldn`t think so...

I like the polished way better then the red!! thats my personal opinion, I wish the price would drop around that of the Perrin :) but we can only ask for so much LOL

It looks great! What I can see of it anyway! I just wish someone would come out with something for a Forester as well as a bumper that would allow it to work. I am sure I could get just about any fmic to work but the bumper only has a little 2" slit opening in it. Not enought air flow for a fmic. Sucks! Maybe I just need to trade it in for an sti!

I also got one from Dan at Godspeed. I got the krinkle piping and I hope the finish doen't go to crap after time. It matches everything in the engine bay. I won't be installing it till later this spring or early summer.

Just curious, is there a reason you went the short ram over the cai? Also, what type of lag am I going to experience? I have the SR55 with ECUTek and all supporting mods. I am hoping to get 350awhp with 20lbs or less on a conservative tune.

jayhawker-

having seen the crinkle red, i agree it is spot-on perfect for matching the sti-trademarked crinkle red parts (and a great match for the APS cai as well).

i have seen what happens to the finish also. this is where you need to use caution, and spend extra time fitting, and checking, and re-fitting. it seems when the installation is done that chips/scratches are made in the finish. this later translates to further chips/spreading of the flaking.... i dont know if it is the fault of the powdercoating, or just the suceptible postion of the piping to get scraped. BE careful of the pass side runner/pipe, and how much space betweeen the top of it and the bottom of the hood when closed. this is a sensitive area that can easily make contact and rub you raw... i wonder if clearcoating is an option, or, if just having them redone locally is a better choice....

good luck w/ yours; im installing mine today!

I plan on having DynoComp install it for me. The S2K group (use to have a boosted one) is having a tech day but after seeing what needs to be cut, I would rather have them do it just for the fact if they screw it up, they will fix it where as if we "shade tree mechanics" mess it up, it will cost me. Tell me what kind of lag you have. I experienced a lot of lag when I first had the SR50 but it didn't change with the SR55. I almost got rear ended once when I first had the larger turbo put in. It took it a lot longer to spool than what I was use to. I never take off in 2nd anymore because of that one instance. I just hope it looks as clean as this install.

Rick, did you guys trim out the black portion of the front bumper? It looks as though you didn't but it is too dark to tell in the picture. I have my laser defuser mounted to that piece and don't want to relocate it if at all possible. A buddy has a DR650 and the black part was cut out. Thanks in advance.

We have the SR55 on our shop STI with this front mount and the spool up is around 4300, but after that it just pulls hard ato redline. We took off the black peice completly and just trimmed the bumper and it fits perfectly.
If you guys have any more questions please feel free to ask.
