After INSISTING that my car had a coolant leak even though 2 dealers couldn't find one, it was finally discovered yesterday and my head gasket is being replaced today...27,500 miles. YIKES.
2003 Legacy sedan Special Edition. Hopefully this will take care of it.

under warranty?
I've got a leak somewhere myself... and I'm wondering if I have to pay for it. :furious:

Mine was covered under warranty. Don't know your circumstances. What year is your car, how many miles, etc.?

But the question needs to be if this will truly FIX the problem. There are ALOT of people having head gasket issues and if this does not make for a more permanent fix whats the point?

From what a former Subie mechanic (fixed them at a dealership for 20 years, now has his own garage) told me, he thinks that Subaru will come out with a campaign in a year or so because more people will be having the same problem. So far, so good. Running well. I run it hard too. LOVE the car. Good price, good performance, handles well, lots of extras. It's a Special Edition. HELL OF A BUY those years they sold them. I mean it's no WRX, STi, or new GT, but it's still fun in the twisties. 16 inch, high performance tires standard.
