if you are referring to the 2.5 factory engine there is no throttle wire.
It has drive by wire.

Adjust the BOV from inside the car?? you lost me there.

cheers

BTW, you do know that if you vent that BOV to the atmosphere it will degrade your performance don't you?

He wants to be able to rev the motor while he is under the hood. The drive-by-wire throttle bodies don't have any easy way to do this that I know of.
I have wanted to do the same thing, for different reasons.

The BOV will release enough to adjust it without making boost. Just set it loose and drive it. If you can still hit peak boost you are good. If not, tighten it a little bit and go again. Keep tightening until you hold boost or it starts to flutter when you release the throttle, then loosen it back a step.

Or just reinstall the factory one, since it'll work a lot better.

^^what he said. damn, drive-by-wire is one of the big things about an STi. just so you know, that thing with the big sti logo on it under the hood is an intercooler not a radiator. and have fun finding the spark plugs

Yeah you guys are right. Probably should have known about the drive by wire function, but I had an 02' and just assumed it would be the same. Eh... my bad
