Sorry but I'm gonna say this.

To Everyone!!

Ok so ya I was thinking about joining AZScooby. But you know I didn't because well namely it costs money!! Maybe Instead of trying to get Stickers and T-shirts and spend all kinds of money. Try just getting friends together to have fun TOGETHER!! People are alot more agreeable when they arn't spending their money!!

I don't really care at all about I-club, AZScooby, whatever!!
It don't matter, I care about my Subaru!
And you guys do to!!
I don't want to go broke or spend any money just to hang out with people that have good taste in automobiles.

Why should we?

So if anyone likes to hang out and drive awsome cars around and get their kicks on route 66. Then call me. But all this club stuff is rapidly disbanding all the subie owners in AZ!!

I realize that running a server is costly. I also know the amount of time that goes into running a website(nearly 24hours a day). But no one is forcing anybody off this perfectly good website. Also AZScooby seems pretty damn fast to me. If someone decides to start a website, club or organisation then they are also decide to keep it running. They can stop it anytime, but then why start it if you dont have the time to maintain it?

Imprezident had to start somewhere.

I am very reluctant to join a club when i can't even tell what they are doing as a club. Then everyone starts leaving the club because they are mad at someone or pissed that they have to pay.

I think that a club should be fun. Not kill your friendship's and your weekends.

There is a lot of time and money out there but the world is running short on friends.

Put your differences behind you and have some fun.

With Best Regards,
Mike Hinshaw

You just do not understand what AZ Scooby was trying to be.

It was not going to be an extension of the AZIC. It was a stand alone club, supported by its members.

This was not a get rich quick idea from a couple of people. It was also not a way to get money for the web site. It was an idea for a group of people to become recognized as a legitimate club, not some online group of chatters. All dues were to go to the club for events we had been discussing, rallycross, autocross and Prescott Forest Rally to name a few.

AZScooby has been around long before a portion of us had Subarus. This was the site to go to for information to mod a Subaru.

It sounds to me like most people want an extension of I-Club. That in my eyes is really too bad. I-Club is all talk, AzScooby was to be action.

Oh well we shall see what happens with AzScooby...

AZIC IS AzScooby!!!! I am starting to see a little clearer now...

AzScooby is a club
AZIC is a club

AzScooby has get togethers
AZIC has get togethers

AzScooby is for the enthusiast
AZIC is for the enthusiast

AzScooby is supported by its members
AZIC is supported by its members

AzScooby is all about member fellowship, online and off-line
AZIC is all about member fellowship, online and off-line

AzScooby has merchandise that comes with membership
AZIC (i-club) has merchandise that you can buy

AZIC is all talk (debateable)
AzScooby is all talk (for now, and needs to be, to figure itself out)

Please don't take this as an attack. I am there to support a club atmosphere, with scheduled meets, and everything else associated with it (dues, rules, etc). I think alot of the strife is comming from a pre-formed group of people, that now have to come up with dues, and have a code of conduct, and a whole lot of other baggage that comes with organizing anything. Some people will not like it, some will love it. You can't please all the people all of the time... You (the AzScooby founders/board) need to move forward with the club. It is your club to design. When it is done, if people like it, they will join. If they don't like it they will not, but it is still your club to get off the ground.

I just want to see it happen, and everyone have a good time, driving great cars, with great friends.

Its been awhile since I have said anything (not that I was that vocal to begin with) . I have played "lurker" for quite some time due to many reasons and I have been really busy lately and have only had time to "read and run". The first reason is because my Subaru has now become my wifes daily ride and I drive a new Dodge Ram pickup (6'4 +" tall - the truck just fits better for a daily ride). 2nd was the fact that I was sitting back to see how the club thing worked out.

I am just curious..

Cant AZScooby and AZIC co-exist?

AZScooby is a valuable resource to the AZScooby members, AZIC readers as well as the entire i-club membership.

I-club is a huge resource for all subaru owners.

I haven't read every post about all the 'details', the 'whys', the 'how-comes',etc of why AZScooby and AZIC need to be separate... personally, I dont care as a Subaru owner.

What I want as a owner, is a place to find information, share information, talk to owners have similar concerns or ideas as myself. I dont care where I do that. It takes no more time for my to type in the URL here than it does AZScooby.

Maybe as a club - AZScooby tried to do too much, too early... who knows? The reality of the situation is that you have a lot of pissed off people now who dont want any part of a club.

Lets just go back to the basics: having fun, talk about what we enjoy, meet when we can, take an occasional drive together.

Sometime later we can all look at the more formalized club again.

Sorry I should have clarified

This is just my opinion

I don't know what AZScooby wanted to be.

It does not say what it will be anywhere on the site.

I just think if people that are subaru lovers are leaving a subaru loving club what the hell is going on

olsen is right about coexistence with out AZScooby I wouldn't have found I-club.

With out I-club I wouldn't have know H1 and Red-Imp and G-Dog, #522, Vivid, Slidewaysmike and everyone else these people are cool, I want to meet more people like these people.

They sat there at the auto cross and lead me around so I #1 would get to race and #2 so I would have more fun.

So If people have differences thats fine but we all like 1 thing
Subaru's otherwise we would not be on these boards.

If AZScooby didn't want to have anything to do with I-Club it would be a very boaring site to visit.

On this board I see atleast one new thread started per day.
AZScooby maybe one per week cause sometimes I post just to make sure its still working.

Sorry that was off base.

Point is: People from AZScooby actively participate in these boards
even more than they do at the AZScooby site.

Who knows why but if I hear that a meet is going on I want to be there!!
I don't give a poop about what club or site got the idea, it was a good idea!

Bill has a very good point to btw.
