Been lurking here for a bit and its only making things harder. Heres the deal, I hope you guys can help. I have a 02 wagon and will have the cash to pay it off soon(lets say 13k) it has 40k on the clock.

I have up/dp and a ECU flash, suspention bits. I am happy with the car, but its time for a bit more power. I could afford a new STI but would rather not, I could VF34/injetor/FP my current WRX and would be happy for a bit(possible tranny issues)

Last I could get a cheep L pre 96 and do a early STI conversion. Gr8wheels has some very good deals and will be getting some more cars in soon. Also they have some very good pricing on swaps, and Kingpin is around as well.

I am not big on looks in the car, its whats under the hood that counts. Thanks for your time guys

Buy new STI(car payment = bad, but possible
pay off and VF34 current 02WRX
Conversion early 1.8L + early STI ver3-4

either do a swap into an Impreza L or swap a version 7/8 motor and tranny into your WRX. Check out an earlier thread I had:
