As some of you might know, I have a closed ej20 block that I'm putting my ej22 n/a heads on so I can still run my ej18 ECU with piggyback E-Manage.
The cams are packaged and will go out on Monday or Tuesday, is there anything I should know?
The heads checked out ok... which makes me happy, now they can be properly rebuilt, complete with Delta Cams. The cost is $145 which includes shipping.

What are the specs you're shooting at on the cams? That's the cost of the TWO EJ22 n/a cams, ya? Keep us updated! I'm looking to go to deltacam as well.

Call Delta and ask about the orientiation of the provided shims. I *think* there is and up & down side to each shim.
I've been quite happy with my setup. I'm running Delta cams in EJ22 heads. Those heads are mated to a phase I EJ25 shortblock. The car is a blast to drive on a daily basis.

I have a machine/race shop rebuilding the heads for me so they'll be installing the cams. I'm not sure of the specs, I read some posts about them here so figured I should try them. They can't hurt, right? (unless they push the valves into the pistons that is)
I am hoping the extra flow will allow me to get to my 250hp goal while keeping the boost at or below 10psi. Figure this will help keep the engine heat down as well as intake temperatures. Driving in Vegas when it's over 110 degrees, I worry quite a bit about detonation.
The cams are 145 with shipping.

what specs are people getting them reground/milled to?
Something wicked requiring high lift springs/retainers...?

Not really. Lift wasn't radically altered on mine, just duration. I would contact Delta (or visit their site) for details.

How do you like the e-manage? I'm still running my 1.8 ECU. Keep us updated. I would be pretty happy to see those numbers out of an EJ hybrid. If it works well, I may even copy you. :D

The E-Manage is awsome. If I wouldn't have ran accross the EJ20G, I probably just would have put ej22 turbo pistons in the EJ22.
I'll post up once it gets running.

We are hoping to get our EJ20G/ 22heads hybrid running this weekend. It will be run on wastegate on a vf-10 and a stock 1.8l ECU, and will provide a good baseline on the engine to compare how much more power the cams and E-manage gain you...

So they got the cams today... and got them done. They will send them back tomarrow. :D
It's a normal grind the guy said and appearantly the duration is a little better, that's where the power comes from.

What did they do actually? Did they give it a higher lift at all because some duration?
I'm waiting to hear about the outcome when installed!

I have a set of Delta's, they grind a bit off the "heel side", this raises the lift. They also grind a little off the bump side, this brings the lift down a bit but increases duration. This is all done in one operation of course. Overall you get more lift and more duration. The cam lobes are then rehardened.
I forgotten what the actual specs are, you can call them for those.
